The barter system is back?

The Barter System is back, following a redesign of the Naira, which gave rise to  currency  scarcity across the country, thereby calling up the application of the barter system   into the Nigerian economy. Villagers are said to be hardest hit by the persistent scarcity of Naira, as several of the  markets in  villages now use a barter system of exchange to acquire goods and services for daily living.

Petty traders in cities do not accept transfers from apps, and they do not have POS systems to sell their goods to customers, because many of them do not have bank accounts. When accepting payments through the app, some users experience network issues. MTN, one of the major network providers, left many users stranded a few days ago when its network collapsed, making payment difficult to process.
